Alice Zagury Alice Zagury is the manager of Le Camping. Le Camping started in January 2011 and is now leading the French ecosystem of innovation, providing seed capital and building high-growth web startups by means of and intensive 6-month program. Le Camping is an initiative led by Silicon Sentier, that has been the hub for tech communities in Paris, offering regular conferences, a co-working space and beta tests for start-ups, for more than 11 years. She helps develop Le Camping’s international network and manages a young and international team, working on the perfection of the intense program organized for selected start-ups. Technology, collaboration and fast development define the DNA of Silicon Sentier and is embodied in the way she runs Le Camping. Le Camping is a breath of fresh air in the evolving French tech scene. Disruptive in its approach and exigent in its execution, the first season showed great results: of the twelve start-ups, four raised funds and three did not require a round of fundraising. The second season, starting in September 2011, is sure to follow a similar path! Before joining Le Camping, Alice worked for US and French start-ups as a project leader. She joined Silicon Sentier in 2010 and decided to analyse and meet different creative communities around Europe, from hackers to digital artists, from bottom-up to top-down initiatives, which is how the ‘Accelerator Model’ became an inspirational methodology for the creation of Le Camping.
